THE PERSON I SHARE MY LİFE

Who won't have a special husband ? Now , I am thinking this question's answer , but I couldn't find anyone who will say 'I don't want.'In my opinion , it may have been everyone's dreams since they were little. Both women and men want to have special and perfect couples. Are you wondering how the perfect husband shoulD be ? That's like that :

Firstly ; I want a husband who shoulD be romantic.I should take the unexpected gifts at the unexpected times. He should always make me surprized.I want a husband who should have plans for only me to be alone with me.I want a husband who will buy and bring the flowers I love such as orchids and daisies. He should make me feel important and special.Additionaly , I want a husband who shouldn't forget the special days such as our anniversal and my birtday ... etc. He should celebrate these days in undreamable and unforgettable way.He should make me love him more and more.

Secondly ; I want a husband who will respect me about everything .He should listen whatever I say carefully. Our life is our life.We both decide all things together ; however , he should respect me every decisions I have decided like I respect his decisions. For example ; If I want to make a career , he should understand me , not say nothing and confirm me.If I come to home late , he should make cook , wash the dishes and look after the children.

As the third one ; I want a husband who will be loyal to me .According to him , I should be the most beautiful woman in the world . He shouldn't be interested in other women around him at both his school and business. No women shouldn't be succesful in affecting him.I want a husband who makes me feel that he love me so much.He shouldn't look at no women but only me.

As another feature ; I want a husband who won't be mean and also will love travelling. He should be adventurous. He should always take me away the places we don't know.I want a husband who loves watching the horror films , because I love them,so much.I want a husband who knows his responsibilities such as cleaning , looking after the children , washing the dishes .. etc whenever I am late to home and don't feel myself good.

My husband should be like those features. As I said above , he should have the shapes I want from him.Who won't want a special husband like that ?

NARRATIVE ESSAY

POINT OF MY LIFE

At the age of twelve, I experienced the worst earthquake one
in my life in İstanbul.Never had I thought that I would see such a notorious catastrophe one day.I had never been in such a big disaster that effected the people so deeply. It was as if your life got darker and darker. Furthermore ,the earthquake taught me that life is unpredictable and life should be cherished intensely.

It was an ordinary day and woke up early to meet with Tayfun.I dressed up
and prepared to go out. While I was on bus the weather started to get dark.I was feeling
the storm was comıng by lookıng at the sky.AS Soon as I arrıved the cafe and sat on the chaır wıth Tayfun.I felt that the floor was shakıng slowly. We thougt that it was only a tremor that would soon end.

Before I had felt many tremors but that one was different fear in my life. The tremors so strong that we felt the ground yawned. We could not move anywhere an the escape was impossible in our condition. The people got shocked in the cafe….It was chaos. Everybody was trying to escape and either us.I stopped and thought a second “Is this really end of my lİfe?”

Fortunately , Tayfun caught me and we got outjust at that time the cafe was destroyed. It was a miracle because we were still alive.I could not belıeve my eyes when I saw the destoyed building .All of the city was razed and many peope died.It was the most strongest earthquake ın my lıfe that I have never forgotten. When I remember this event I can not stop crying.Being together with our loved ones and stil being alive are the most pleasure in my life…

OPINION ESSAY

DO YOU THINK THAT ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE IS GOOD EFFECTS ON THE PEOPLE?

Whether you agree or not, I believe that alternative medicine gives harmful effects to people who are using. A lot of people saw non-conventional medicine as miracle. They always believed strongly if they use this medicine, they will protect from illness themselves without thinking its side-effects. However; taking doctors’ advise or going to the doctors’ is beter and healtier than using alternative medicine.

Nowadays, if people catch a cold or another illnesses, there are a lot of ways to keep them from getting worse or cleaning them up all together without any kind of medication. They are called ‘ koca-karı ilacı’ in Türkish such as drinking mint-lemon tea if you’re cold or putting beaten bread on the bruised / being hurt place. They are beneficial sometimes, because they are so easily coming over when it is compared with cancer or tumor… etc. A lot of study don’t support this medicine and the people using it. A Norwegion Multicentre Study examined the association between the use of alternative medicine and cancer survival. 515 patients using Standard medical care for cancer were followed for 8 years.22% of these patients used alternative medicine concurrently with their Standard care. The study revealed that death rates were 30% higher in alternative medicine users than in those who didn’t use alternative medicine.

As I said both introductıion and body paragraph, alternative medicine has negative effects on the people using it. If you want to have longer and healtier life, you must give up using alternative medicine and start to prefer to conventional medicine.

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT 2 FILMS

When I compare two films, I want to say I liked Miracle Worker more than Angela's Ashes .I do not know why, but I get impressed from it.Angela'a Ashes is one of the most impressive films. As I knew its content, I liked another film.Miracle Worker is ,in fact, a perseverance girl.If I were her teacher,I thougt that I would not put up with her.She was so saasy girl. However, I thougt Keller, her behaving type was so normal because as you knew , she was both deaf and blind.Angela'a Ashes was so effective film , too. They tried to live in that poorness and difficultness. As consequences of them, the children started to die or starve.:(.Shortly, both of films are so effective, succesfull and well-done.

DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY

A VISIT TO A ZOO

The rain had been failing continuously for the last three or four days. We had been virtually imprisoned in our rooms. Some of my friends and I decided to enjoy this Sunday thoroughly. We started 10 A.M and reached the Edward Memorial Zoological Garden, Lucknow,at 11 A.M. As we entered the gate, we noticed two [airs of monkeys of a special type. Standing near the boundary, some small children were giving them bananas. These monkeys, know as Gorillas, walked like man to take them. There chattering was also, more or less, similar to the voice of man. They could imitate the various actions of man. One of them walked with a stick in his hand. They interested us very much. In fact, gorillas and chimpanzees are the nearest relations of man in hierarchy of evolution.
Just a few steps ahead, on the left hand, we saw the bird's section. They were kept in very large enclosures surrounded by wire gauze. Inside the enclosures, there were trees, a small tank, a few water-pots etc. There were birds of numerous types. They attracted us very much. Their multicolored winds and different notes were very charming. Some ducks and cranes were swimming in the tank. Cranes looked very beautiful. We also saw two ostriches. They were white with beautiful red, long necks. The neck could be thrown out to a long distance like a spring. We liked them very much.

Then we turned towards the right hand. There were large enclosures with very strong and big iron gates. Though the iron bars of the gates we could see a pair of big lions. They very sight of them was frightening. Few small cubs were also playing inside it. But the condition of the lions was quite pitiable. It was other chambers, close to this chamber, there were panthers and tigers. They also did not appear to be quite comfortable inside their enclosures.
To the right of these enclosures, we observed a large trench. In some parts of if there was water. Tress were also growing in it. At first sight, it appeared to be a neglected area. But when we came near it and observed more keenly, we found at some distance a big Rhinoceros walking freely in it. We were told by a guide that its skin in very tough. A bullet could not pierce it. It would be rebounded. It was used for making shields. We were all surprised to learn this. Indeed, it was a frightful animal which we have never seen before.
One thing which we observed there, was the feeding arrangement for the different animals. The zoo authorities gave the most suitable diet to the different animals. Lions and other meat -eaters were given meat. Birds were given food grains which they liked. Those animals which liked to eat grass and green leaved, were left in grassy field. Thus they were kept in the most natural way. Still some of the animals who are great freedom lovers did not like artificial arrangement which were provided for them.

After spending about four hours in the Zoo, we decided to return. I felt that a great a addition has been made to my knowledge. Thus Zoo is a place of education as well s of entertainment. It may be suggested in the end that the animals kept in a Zoo must be treated sympathetically. Big animals, like the lions, leopards, etc, should be given their fill of food. They should not be kept hungry.

DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY

Summer at the Cabin

The cabin was built in the 1950's when my Great Grandpa rode up there, and it looks like not many repairs have been made since that time. The cabin is about 15 feet by 20 feet, and is made out of pine logs. There are places where you can see between the logs because the chinking is falling out. The cabin faces to the east. It has a small porch that was made by leaving the first four logs of the cabin about six feet longer than the rest. There is a small set of corrals in front of the cabin. There is an old shed to the north of the cabin, and the outhouse is behind it.

The porch has a hole in it where a horse stepped through it when someone forgot to put the chain across the doorway. In the rafters hang old horseshoes that we tack on when one of our horses loses a shoe. Half the porch is cluttered with tools, shovels jacks, chains, shoeing equipment and an axe. The other half is full of firewood.

The only electric thing in the cabin is the phone. Propane or wood runs everything else. There is only one propane light in the cabin. To light the rest we use Coleman lanterns. There isn't any running water in the cabin so we have to haul water.
The floor to the cabin is made out of scrap lumber. It used to be rough, but has been worn smooth with time. There are places where it has rotted out and has been patched. There are also places that have been burned by sparks from the two stoves, and people spilling the ashes. Inside the cabin, behind the door, is a long bench we stack pop, canned stew, and many other things on. In the corner is the dog food, which we keep inside so the squirrels and birds don't get it. However that doesn't stop the mice. At night you can hear them run across the floor and into the sack. We trapped mice for three weeks before we stopped hearing them at night.

A large hand made table is pushed against the left wall of the cabin. This is where we eat and play cards. I also sleep under the table at night because it is the only open space. At each end of the table is a homemade chair, and for the length of the table is an old bench.

Farther along the left wall is a four-post bed. It is the only bed in the cabin so we draw cards to see who gets it. Getting the bed isn't that big of a deal because the springs are bad and the mattress is covered with stains. I think the best part about getting the bed is that one of the three windows is above it.

On the back wall is a slab of wood that we use for a shelf. It holds a deformed deer antler, a coyote skull, and the shells for the guns. Below the shelf is the gun rack where the rifles set. On the top rung is my old Winchester 30,06, next is a Ruger .223. After that is a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun. The last two rungs are taken by the .22 rifles. A company I have never heard of before made one. The other is a very old Savage. In the corner is a four point Mule deer head that the pistols hang off of. There are two Ruger .44's, and a Ruger .22 pistol.

Starting down the right wall, the first thing is the sink. The dirty dishes are piled in and around the sink. Under the sink is the bathtub. It is a big metal tub that we use to take baths and rinse the dishes.

Next along the wall is a small table that has a Forest Service map tacked to it. The map tells us where the ponds, gates, and fences are. Beside the map is the turnout paper. It tells us how many cows each person turned out. Then is the dead list, where we write down all the cows we find dead and who they belong too.

Farther down the wall is the refrigerator. It is full of left overs, sandwich meat, mayo, cheese, mustard, pickles, pop, and medicine for the cows. Next is the freezer. It's full of meat, bread, and a bucket of vanilla ice cream.

That is the cabin at cow camp where I spend part of my summer. Even though it may not sound that great, I think it is one of the best places I could spend my summer. It is really cool to be where my Great Grandpa had ridden, and said the best times of his life had been. I don't think I will ever get to go anywhere that has that effect on me again.

ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY

BURGLARY

The burglary is done by the people who think themselves as helpless. This is sometimes become because of physicological problems. In the past, there were a lot of burglary events but nowadays it gets more and more because of the unemployment. When it is thought, the burglary is betrayal of the people’s to themselves and other people.

Firstly, those whom think the burglary as a solution betray them ; in the other word, they deceive themselves.Every one has physicological problems or can have no Money to get by.However, they shouldn’t steal something from anybody. This is a wrong behaviour. They can find a way to earn the Money. The ony help is not the burglary. If they do this, they lose their trust to themselves. They have iner conflict.

Also, the burglary is wrong and unacceptable behaviour, because it is aganist the community’s rule. Those whom maket he burglary are punished without being listened their excuses. In the same time, this people are excluded from the society.Nobody believes their reliable any more.If a person burgle once, he/she is always seen an unreliable person.

It is true that some people in the society look the burglary as an escaping and the easiest way to earn the Money. So they always try to do this wrong behaviour without thinking their outcomes. However, the burglary should never be solution to have the Money.Instead as I said above, these people can find a job and earn the Money in the moral way.In the end, they lose neither their own reliable nor the society’s reliable.

I believe that even though unemployment is increasing nowadays, as long as the society is gtting more and more well-informed this burglary will decrease day by day. Both people and the world will be happy and full of relianle.
